DAY 1 - Saturday, May 25 1:00pm-3:30pm
Folding and Unfolding
Using the Katonah Yoga metaphor of the asana practice as origami for the body, this workshop will focus on unfolding joint space to create both stability and freedom in backbending postures. There will be techniques to help those who struggle to find ease in backbending, and boundaries for those who backbend too freely. Expect a little bit of empowering play with inversions for all levels. This will be balanced by an exploration into forward bending techniques to fit each unique body.
DAY 2 - Sunday, May 26 1:00pm-3:30pm
360 Degrees of Hips
Move through an arc of slow flow to warm your joints and get your breath pumping, and then dive deep into your hips. We’ll go all the way around the hips to find freedom and ease around the body’s most stable (and often stuck) joint. Wrap up with restorative shapes and pranayama that will reset your nervous system and send you floating back into your day.

DAY 3 - Insightful Adjustments Training for Yoga Teachers
This training is designed to sharpen your vision as a yoga teacher and learn to use your body as a communication tool to create impactful change in your students. We will explore the way you see your students, how to best approach an adjustment, and how to use your own body in unique ways to move another body. These adjustments are beyond corrections. They are about offering insight, changing someone’s frame of reference, and giving your students an experience they didn’t even realize they weren’t having.

Inversions and Backbends
An in-depth, out-of-the-box and insightful exploration of commonly practiced inversions and their integral relationship to backbending postures. Flip your world upside down to change your frame of reference and have a new experience.
This playful workshop will focus on Handstand, Forearm Balance and a variety of explorative extensions for the spine. Expect a strong emphasis on alignment, body mechanics, and how to properly navigate various props.
